Founding families
Before HomeSchool Scribe reaches the App Store this January, twenty-five to fifty families will run their real school days on it for three weeks and tell us everything. If that's you, sign up below. Founding families get a free first year of Scribe Plus at launch.

We'll email you the TestFlight link when the first family build is ready in October, then a short note each week. Nothing else, and you can leave any time.

- An iPhone or iPad on iOS 26 (Settings ▸ General ▸ About shows the version).
- One to three students, any grades; we especially want a few high-schoolers for the transcript.
- A mix of states. Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida have paperwork we want to get right; Texas and other easy states matter too.
- Three weeks of real use: your real students, your real curriculum, checked off on real school days.
What you'll do
- Install TestFlight, Apple's free app for trying apps before release, from the App Store.
- Open our link from the email we send you and tap Install. Updates arrive through TestFlight about once a week; it will tell you.
- Set up your school the way you'd really run it: your state, your school year, your students, and their courses. Then plan a week and check things off each day.
- Try what your state asks for. Open Records, look at the deadlines it lists for your state, and generate the attendance report, a report card, and, for a high-schooler, the transcript. Read them as if you were handing them to an evaluator.
- Hand a child Student Mode for a day and see what they make of it.
- Tell us everything. Confusing, wrong, slow, or just "I expected this somewhere else" all count. In TestFlight, take a screenshot and it offers to send it to us with your device details; or email support@myhomeschoolscribe.com. Please cover your children's names in screenshots.
What to expect
Is my family's data safe in a beta?
Yes. The app has no accounts and no servers; your records stay on your device and in your own iCloud. Beta builds are the same app, a few weeks early. Export a backup from Records ▸ Backup whenever you like.
What if something breaks?
Tell us and we fix it, usually in the next weekly build. Your records aren't affected by app updates.
Does it cost anything?
No. Scribe Plus is unlocked for the beta. At launch, founding families get their first year free with a code we'll send you.
Will you use my name?
Only if you say so. In week three we'll ask whether you'd share a sentence or two for the website with your first name and state. Saying no changes nothing.
When does the beta start?
October 2026, as soon as the first family build clears Apple's beta review. Testing runs through November. The App Store release is planned for January 5, 2027.
